Jonathan Segal and Jeffrey Durkin ontop of the Q

Good news from Breadtruck, our shot documentary on architect developer Jonathan Segal FAIA, has been accepted to the Eco-Focus film festival in Atlanta Georgia. The documentary was originality in exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art La Jolla. Screening this month from Oct. 3 – Oct. 30 at the University of Georgia. You can see his latest project the “Q” on India and Fir street in Little Italy, downtown San Diego. Co-directed by Rico Castillero

Hey y’all, just got done with the San Diego Film Festival, and it was Awsome! Great films, great parties, great people and free drinks all week long! I could do this every weekend. The team of Bekah, Robin and Carl gave a lot of love to the local filmmakers, and made everyone feel like a big star. Jeff had his short MXD MSG screen in the local love 2 section along with a bunch of other really great local shorts. If you get a chance check out Mended, another short film done by some really fun local filmmakers. See ya next year. Nice expression Ike ?

A little late on the post, but it’s well worth the news. MXD MSG just won first place in the 2009 brainwash film festival!  Bay area love, and a great festival that truly got the message. 1st AD Ike was on hand to accept the award at the screening in the old steel building in Oakland. That’s right, BreadTruck is halfway through production on a new documentary about 2 friends and west coast street artists Mike Giant and Mike Maxwell. It reads something like this: 2 cities, 2 artists, 2 filmmakers, and 2 photographers weave together the story of a former tattoo artist and graf artist who are defining a new generation of west coast style.
